Year 4 trip to Cadbury World

On 8th May, Year 4 went to visit Cadbury World in Birmingham to learn about the history and the art of making chocolate. This educational visit was part of a cross-curricular project involving English, Art and Food Tech.

Highlights of the visit included the 4D cinema (where the seats shook and made it feel like we were on a chocolate rollercoaster) and sampling melted chocolate with a choice of toppings. In the afternoon, we were treated to a fascinating workshop on the history and strategy of Cadbury branding and product design. This gave pupils essential inspiration for their classwork: to create an advertising campaign for a piece of chocolate of your own design.
