On Tuesday 6th March 2018 Year 5 visited the Imperial War Museum where we looked at some of the relevant World War 2 exhibits concerning life in Britain and on the Home Front.
The trip is to support our reading of Robert Westall’s The Machine Gunners. This book won the Carnegie Medal and was voted one of the ten most important children’s novels of the last 70 years.
