Latymer Upper School and Latymer Prep School understand that this is a difficult time for some families in our community, particularly those with friends and family in the impacted areas. We are carefully monitoring the situation and continuing to follow the government advice surrounding coronavirus.
Symptoms and self-isolation
The most common symptoms of coronavirus are recent onset of:
- A continuous cough and/or
- High temperature
The COVID-19 questionnaire on the NHS 111 website https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 is useful if you are worried about possible symptoms.
The advice now is that if you or anyone in your household have either of the symptoms of continuous cough OR fever over 37.8c, you should stay at home for fourteen days. You should only call 111 if your symptoms worsen or if they have not improved in seven days.
If you need to stay at home, here is some helpful advice.
Visitors
In line with this advice, we regret that we are unable to welcome visitors to the School if they or anyone in their household have either a high temperature or a new, continuous cough. If, after fourteen days these symptoms are no longer in evidence, you will be welcome to return to the School site.
This advice applies to all pupils, parents, staff and external visitors to the Schools.
Further detailed advice about the virus can be found on the Public Health England website.
We hope that we can return to our usual position of warmly welcoming all visitors to Latymer as soon as possible and we trust that you understand our position at this challenging time.
