Y5 Trip to Ragged School

Our Year 5 children were taken back in time to the original Thomas Barnardo Ragged School where they experienced a lesson taught by Miss Perkins. They were transported back to the 1880s and experienced first-hand what schooling was really like! Upstairs in the reconstructed Victorian East End kitchen they explored a Victorian home and family through object handling, role play and storytelling.
