Our pupils excitedly took to the fields at the University of Westminster grounds for the 2021 Laytmer Prep School Sports Day.
Thankfully the weather held and the few spots of rain we had had first thing, quickly evaporated and allowed the annual showpiece to go ahead.
Every child took part in the sprints with lots of close and exciting finishes with the judges having to make many a tough call on the winners.
Each class then took part in six 'activity stations' trying to earn points for their house teams. Balancing, running, jumping, skill and agility were all put to the test during the egg and spoon, standing long jump, javelin, rounders ball throw, bean bag shuttle relay and the famous 'activities race'.
After a quick snack the children somehow found more energy to take part in the house relays before our Year 6s finished off the day with a spectacular 'tug of war' before the pupils all boarded the coaches back to school with big smiles on their faces.
